Description
A refreshing and surprisingly delicious Zucchini Milkshake that’s perfect for a healthy treat. You won’t believe the secret ingredient!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 medium zucchini, peeled, deseeded, and roughly chopped
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/2 cup frozen banana slices
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of cinnamon (optional)
- Ice cubes (optional, for thicker consistency)
Instructions
- Place the chopped zucchini in a microwave-safe bowl with a tablespoon of water. Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes, or until tender. Drain any excess water and let the zucchini cool completely.
- In a blender, combine the cooled cooked zucchini, milk, frozen banana slices, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using).
- Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. If you prefer a thicker milkshake, add a few ice cubes and blend again.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
- Pour into a glass and serve immediately.
Notes
- Ensure the zucchini is completely cooled before blending to avoid a warm milkshake.
- For a richer flavor, you can use full-fat milk or add a tablespoon of nut butter.
- This recipe is easily customizable; feel free to add other fruits like berries or a scoop of protein powder.
