Description

Indulge in a decadent Triple Chocolate Bundt Cake, a moist and rich dessert perfect for any occasion. This recipe combines the goodness of chocolate cake, chocolate chips, and a luscious chocolate glaze for an irresistible treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ¾ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Chocolate Glaze Ingredients:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Stir in the boiling water. The batter will be thin.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared bundt pan.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Chocolate Glaze Instructions:

  11. While the cake is cooling, make the glaze. In a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water (or in the microwave), melt the chocolate chips and heavy cream, stirring until smooth.
  12. Pour the glaze over the cooled cake.
  13. Let the glaze set before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
  • Ensure your oven is calibrated for baking, as oven temperatures can vary.
  • Add a teaspoon of instant coffee granules to the boiling water to enhance the chocolate flavor.
  • Store leftover cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
