Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ladyfingers
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 (15 ounce) container mascarpone cheese, softened
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Strawberry slices for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Strawberries: In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Let it macerate for at least 15 minutes.
- Make the Mascarpone Cream: In a large bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese until smooth. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone cheese until well combined.
- Assemble the Tiramisu: Dip ladyfingers briefly in the strawberry juice. Layer the dipped ladyfingers in a dish. Spread a layer of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers. Top with a layer of sliced strawberries. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cream and strawberries.
- Chill: Cover the tiramisu and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve: Garnish with additional strawberry slices before serving.
Notes
- For a stronger strawberry flavor, use more strawberries.
- If you don’t have ladyfingers, you can use sponge cake.
- You can add a splash of strawberry liqueur to the strawberry mixture for extra flavor.
