Description

Indulge in these wickedly delicious Spooky Brownie Bites, perfect for Halloween or any time you crave a fudgy, chocolatey treat with a festive twist!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, melted (for decorating)
  • Black food coloring
  • Orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a mini muffin tin or line with mini muffin liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  7. Divide the batter into three portions. Leave one portion plain. To the second portion, add a few drops of black food coloring and mix until uniformly colored. To the third portion, add a few drops of orange food coloring and mix until uniformly colored.
  8. Spoon small amounts of each colored batter into the prepared mini muffin cups, swirling gently with a toothpick to create a marbled effect.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  10. Let the brownie bites cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  11. Once cooled, melt the white chocolate chips. Divide into two small bowls. Tint one bowl with a tiny amount of black food coloring and the other with orange food coloring.
  12. Drizzle the colored white chocolate over the cooled brownie bites to create spooky designs (webs, ghosts, stripes). Let the chocolate set before serving.

Notes

  • For extra spookiness, you can add Halloween-themed sprinkles after drizzling the white chocolate.
  • Ensure the brownie bites are completely cool before decorating to prevent the white chocolate from melting.
  • The food coloring amounts may vary depending on the brand. Add gradually until desired color is achieved.
