Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined.
- Whisk in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the sourdough discard and chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting and serving.
