Description

Indulge in the ultimate campfire treat with a sophisticated twist: S’mores Tart! This recipe takes the classic flavors of graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows and transforms them into an elegant and delicious dessert perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Pinch of salt
  • 8 ounces milk chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 ounces marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, melted butter, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Let cool completely.
  5. In a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water (or in the microwave), melt the chocolate. Stir until smooth.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate into the cooled tart crust. Spread evenly.
  7. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  8. Spread the whipped cream over the chocolate layer.
  9. Toast the marshmallows: Using a kitchen torch, toast the marshmallows until golden brown and slightly caramelized. Alternatively, broil in oven for a minute or two, watching carefully.
  10. Let the tart cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate.
  • If you don’t have a kitchen torch, you can broil the tart in the oven for a minute or two, but watch carefully to prevent burning.
  • Feel free to add other toppings, such as chocolate shavings or a drizzle of caramel.
