- 1 (750 ml) bottle of dry red wine (e.g., Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot)
- 1 (750 ml) bottle of dry white wine (e.g., Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc)
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (or to taste)
- 1 cup club soda or lemon-lime soda, chilled (optional)
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, white wine, blueberries, raspberries, and sliced strawberries.
- Add the brandy and sugar. Stir well until the sugar is dissolved.
- Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
- Just before serving, add the club soda or lemon-lime soda (if using).
- Fill glasses with ice and pour the sangria over the ice.
- Garnish with extra berries, if desired.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, substitute the wines with grape juice or cranberry juice, and the brandy with an equal amount of non-alcoholic brandy flavoring.
- Adjust the amount of sugar to your liking, depending on the sweetness of the fruit and your personal preference.
