Description

This raspberry lemonade recipe is the perfect balance of sweet and tart, offering a refreshing and flavorful drink for any occasion. It’s incredibly easy to make and requires just a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 68 lemons)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Fresh raspberries and lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the Raspberry Syrup: In a saucepan, combine the raspberries, sugar, and 1 cup of water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the raspberries soften (about 5-7 minutes).
  2. Strain the Syrup: Strain the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing on the solids to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the solids.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In a large pitcher, combine the raspberry syrup, lemon juice, and 4 cups of cold water. Stir well to combine.
  4. Taste and Adjust: Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness or tartness to your liking by adding more sugar or lemon juice.
  5. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the raspberry lemonade for at least 30 minutes to chill. Serve over ice, garnished with fresh raspberries and lemon slices, if desired.

Notes

  • For a stronger raspberry flavor, you can add more raspberries to the syrup.
  • If you prefer a less sweet lemonade, reduce the amount of sugar.
  • To make this ahead, prepare the raspberry syrup and lemon juice separately and store them in the refrigerator. Combine just before serving.
  • Feel free to add other fruits like strawberries or blueberries to the syrup.
