Description
This peach lemonade recipe is the perfect blend of sweet peaches and tangy lemonade. It’s incredibly easy to make and a crowd-pleaser for any occasion, especially on a hot day!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ripe peaches, peeled and pitted
- 1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 6–8 lemons)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Peach slices and mint sprigs, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Make the Peach Syrup: In a blender, combine the peeled and pitted peaches, sugar, and 1 cup of water. Blend until completely smooth.
- Strain the Syrup: Strain the peach mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove any pulp.
- Combine Ingredients: Add the lemon juice and 4 cups of cold water to the peach syrup in the pitcher. Stir well to combine.
- Taste and Adjust: Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness and tartness to your liking. Add more sugar for sweetness or more lemon juice for tartness.
- Chill: Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve: Pour the peach lemonade over ice in glasses. Garnish with peach slices and mint sprigs, if desired.
Notes
- For a quicker version, use peach nectar instead of making peach syrup.
- If you prefer less pulp, strain the peach mixture through a cheesecloth.
- To make a sparkling peach lemonade, add sparkling water or club soda just before serving.
- For an adult version, add a shot of vodka or rum.
