  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • For the Peach Filling:
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crumble Topping: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Prepare the Peach Filling: In a separate bowl, gently toss the sliced peaches with granulated sugar, flour, and lemon juice.
  3. Assemble the Bars: Press half of the crumble mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  4. Pour the peach filling evenly over the crumble base.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining crumble topping over the peach filling.
  6. Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  7. Cool and Serve: Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • For best results, use ripe but firm peaches.
  • You can substitute the fresh peaches with canned peaches, drained.
  • Store leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
