- 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar

- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, granulated sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss gently to coat.
- Pour peach mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the peaches.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbling.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a crispier topping, use cold butter.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
- You can use frozen peaches; thaw them and drain excess liquid before using.
