Description
Whip up this guilt-free, vibrant Ninja Creami recipe for healthy strawberry ice cream. Made with simple, wholesome ingredients, this silky smooth frozen treat is low in sugar and high in flavor, perfect for a nutritious dessert!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup frozen strawberries (halved)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or preferred milk)
- 1 scoop (approx. 25g) vanilla protein powder (whey or plant-based)
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (or preferred sweetener)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients (frozen strawberries, almond milk, protein powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt) into the Ninja Creami pint container.
- Secure the lid and freeze on a level surface for a minimum of 24 hours until completely solid.
- Place the frozen pint into the outer bowl, secure the lid, and place it onto the base.
- Select the ‘LITE ICE CREAM’ setting on your Ninja Creami machine.
- If the mixture is crumbly after the first spin, add 1-2 tablespoons of extra almond milk and run the ‘RE-SPIN’ cycle until smooth and creamy.
- Serve immediately for a soft-serve consistency, or transfer to an airtight container and freeze for 30 minutes for a firmer scoop.
Notes
- For an extra creamy texture, use full-fat canned coconut milk instead of almond milk (this will increase the fat content slightly).
- Sweetness level can be adjusted by adding more maple syrup or using a zero-calorie sweetener like monk fruit drops.
- Ensure the base mixture is frozen rock solid (24 hours minimum) before processing for the best results.
