Description

This iced lavender latte is the perfect refreshing treat. The floral notes of lavender combined with the rich coffee and creamy milk create a delightful and unique flavor profile. It’s easy to make at home and perfect for a warm day.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon lavender syrup (see recipe below)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: Whipped cream and fresh lavender sprig for garnish

Instructions

  1. Make the Lavender Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, and 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes. Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the lavender buds.
  2. Assemble the Latte: Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  3. Pour in the cooled coffee.
  4. Add the lavender syrup.
  5. Pour in the milk.
  6. Stir well to combine.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Top with whipped cream and a fresh lavender sprig, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a stronger lavender flavor, add a little more lavender syrup to taste.
  • You can make the lavender syrup ahead of time and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
