Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 tablespoon lavender syrup (see recipe below)
- Ice cubes
- Optional: Whipped cream and fresh lavender sprig for garnish
Instructions
- Make the Lavender Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, and 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes. Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the lavender buds.
- Assemble the Latte: Fill a glass with ice cubes.
- Pour in the cooled coffee.
- Add the lavender syrup.
- Pour in the milk.
- Stir well to combine.
- Garnish and Serve: Top with whipped cream and a fresh lavender sprig, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For a stronger lavender flavor, add a little more lavender syrup to taste.
- You can make the lavender syrup ahead of time and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- Adjust the sweetness to your preference by adding more or less syrup.
- If you don’t have a coffee maker, use instant espresso or strongly brewed coffee from a French press.
