Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups cubed honeydew melon, chilled
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
Instructions
- Prepare the Melon and Mint: In a blender or food processor, combine the chilled honeydew melon and mint leaves.
- Make the Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Blend the Sorbet: Pour the simple syrup and lime juice into the blender with the melon and mint. Blend until completely smooth.
- Chill and Freeze: Pour the mixture into an airtight container and freeze for at least 3-4 hours, or until solid.
- Serve: Let the sorbet soften slightly before serving. Scoop into bowls and enjoy immediately.
Notes
- For a smoother sorbet, blend the mixture again after it has partially frozen to break up ice crystals.
- Adjust the sugar to your preference, depending on the sweetness of the honeydew melon.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves for an extra touch of freshness.
