Description
These adorable Halloween brownie bites are topped with a spooky spiderweb made from white chocolate, perfect for a festive treat!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 4 oz white chocolate chips, for melting
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 24-cup mini muffin tin or line with mini muffin liners.
- In a medium bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the granulated sugar until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix. Stir in chocolate chips, if using.
- Spoon the batter evenly into the prepared mini muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let the brownie bites cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- To make the spiderwebs: Place white chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth.
- Transfer the melted white chocolate to a small piping bag or a zip-top bag with a tiny corner snipped off.
- Once the brownie bites are completely cool, pipe concentric circles of white chocolate onto the top of each brownie bite, starting from the center and working outwards.
- Using a toothpick, drag lines from the center outwards through the white chocolate circles to create a spiderweb effect.
- Let the white chocolate set completely before serving.
Notes
- For an extra spooky touch, you can add edible googly eyes to the center of the spiderwebs once the white chocolate has set.
- Store leftover brownie bites in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
