- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, whisk together the sugar and melted butter until combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the Greek yogurt until just incorporated.
- If desired, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting and serving.
Notes
- For a fudgier brownie, reduce the baking time slightly.
- You can substitute the chocolate chips with chopped nuts or other mix-ins.
