- 1 (15.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix
- Ingredients for cake mix (eggs, oil, water as per box instructions)
- 1 (16 ounce) can white frosting
- 1 (12 ounce) bag white candy melts
- Black edible marker
- Optional: Lollipop sticks
Instructions
- Prepare and bake the cake mix according to package directions. Let the cake cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl. Add about 3/4 of the can of white frosting and mix until well combined and the mixture holds its shape.
- Roll the cake mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- If using lollipop sticks, insert one end into each cake ball.
- Melt the white candy melts according to package directions.
- Dip each cake ball into the melted candy melts, ensuring it’s fully coated. Let excess drip off.
- Place the coated cake pops on parchment paper to set.
- Once set, use the black edible marker to draw ghost faces on each cake pop.
- Allow the edible marker to dry completely before serving.
Notes
- For best results, chill the cake balls for about 15-20 minutes before dipping them in candy melts.
- You can substitute vanilla extract for a portion of the liquid in the cake mix for added flavor.
- Store cake pops in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
