Description

These date brownies are fudgy, naturally sweetened, and incredibly delicious! They’re a healthier treat option perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pitted Medjool dates, soaked in hot water for 10 minutes and drained
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a small square baking pan (8×8 inch).
  2. In a food processor, combine the soaked dates, cocoa powder, almond flour, eggs, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Process until completely smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. If using nuts, gently fold them into the batter.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting and serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
  • You can add chocolate chips for extra chocolatey goodness.
  • Store leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
