- 1 cup pitted Medjool dates, soaked in hot water for 10 minutes and drained
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a small square baking pan (8×8 inch).
- In a food processor, combine the soaked dates, cocoa powder, almond flour, eggs, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Process until completely smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
- If using nuts, gently fold them into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting and serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
- You can add chocolate chips for extra chocolatey goodness.
- Store leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
