- 2 cups granulated sugar
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- For the Cream Cheese Swirl:
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- In a separate bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
- Dollop the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter.
- Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese mixture.
- Use a knife or skewer to swirl the cream cheese and brownie batter together.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely before cutting and serving.
Notes
- For extra chocolate flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
- Make sure your cream cheese is softened to prevent lumps in the swirl.
- You can add chocolate chips to the brownie batter for extra richness.
