- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- In a large microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- If desired, fold in chocolate chips.
- Microwave on high for 60-90 seconds, or until the cake has risen and is cooked through. Cooking time may vary depending on your microwave.
- Let cool slightly before enjoying.
Notes
- For a richer cake, use milk chocolate chips.
- You can substitute the vegetable oil with melted butter.
