Instructions
- Prepare the Brownie Batter: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Prepare the Cookie Dough: In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Combine and Bake: Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough evenly over the brownie batter. You can gently press the cookie dough into the brownie batter if desired.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the brownies are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
- You can use a variety of chocolate chips, such as semi-sweet, milk chocolate, or dark chocolate.
