Description

This classic Blueberry Crumble recipe features a sweet and juicy blueberry filling topped with a buttery, crumbly topping. It’s the perfect dessert for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, plus 2 tablespoons
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the blueberries with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Gently toss to coat.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup sugar, oats, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Pour the blueberry mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the blueberries.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer crumble, use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar in the topping.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
  • You can use frozen blueberries, but don’t thaw them before using.
