Description

These Baseball-Themed Rice Krispie Treat Pops are a fun and festive dessert perfect for game day or a baseball-themed party! They’re easy to make and a hit with kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 10 ounces (about 40 large) marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Red gel food coloring
  • White candy melts
  • Blue candy melts
  • Lollipop sticks

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Add the marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Add the Rice Krispies cereal and stir until well combined. The mixture should be easy to handle.
  5. Divide the mixture into two equal portions.
  6. In one portion, add a few drops of red gel food coloring and mix until evenly colored. This will be for the baseball ‘stitching.’
  7. Let the mixture cool slightly until it’s easy to handle.
  8. Shape the plain mixture into balls (about 2 inches in diameter).
  9. Insert a lollipop stick into each ball.
  10. Melt the white candy melts according to package instructions.
  11. Dip the top half of each Rice Krispie treat ball into the melted white candy melts.
  12. Place the dipped treats on parchment paper to set.
  13. Melt the blue candy melts according to package instructions.
  14. Once the white candy melts have set, use the blue candy melts and a piping bag or a ziplock bag with a small corner snipped off to pipe on the baseball stitching design (two curved lines).
  15. Let the pops set completely before serving.

Notes

  • For a smoother finish, you can lightly grease your hands before shaping the Rice Krispie treats.
  • If the Rice Krispie mixture gets too sticky, let it cool slightly before handling.
  • Store these pops in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
