Description

Indulge in the comforting flavors of apple pie in a bite-sized truffle! These delightful treats feature a creamy apple and cinnamon filling coated in smooth chocolate, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup finely diced cooked apples (about 1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and sautéed until tender)
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (or vegetable oil)
  • Optional: chopped pecans, graham cracker crumbs, or cinnamon sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the finely diced cooked apples, softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  2. Chill the apple mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until firm enough to roll into balls.
  3. Once chilled, roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  5. Dip each apple ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Use a fork or toothpick to lift the truffle and allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  6. Place the coated truffles back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Optional: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with chopped pecans, graham cracker crumbs, or cinnamon sugar for added texture and flavor.
  8. Refrigerate the truffles for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate has set.
  9. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • For the cooked apples, you can sauté them with a tablespoon of butter and a teaspoon of brown sugar for extra flavor before dicing. Ensure they are cooled completely before mixing.
  • If white chocolate seizes, add a tiny bit more oil and stir vigorously.
  • You can also use milk chocolate or dark chocolate for dipping.
  • These truffles are best enjoyed chilled.
